  1. Thank you for sharing about her house and all the pictures. Ever since I saw an article years ago about her home I’ve been enchanted with it, for lack of a better word. Would love to see it in person one day. Are all the citrus trees still there? Just love all the beautiful places you share

  2. What a wonderful walk through time. Thank you for bringing to life a place many have imagined and longed to see, from the intimacy of her daily life…from her writing table where she penned stories created from her heart to the award winning story of “The Yearling”; to her daybed where she rested during hot, summer days. I grew up in 1950’s Florida, so am very familiar with her way of life. Her description of the orange blossoms perfuming the air touched my heart and I find myself longing for those sweet, joyous days once again.

  3. What a beautiful home with so much character. I have been wanting to visit her home and the park and this little tour was the next best thing. Her depiction of the orange blossoms is so lovely – our home is near an orange grove and smelling the blooms at this time each year brings back special memories of when we first moved in (16 years ago this week).
