I’m so happy you’re here!

My name is Tanya, aka Southern Girl Dreaming. I grew up in a small country town in Central Florida surrounded by Orange groves and Old Florida Houses. That’s where I played with my cousins and ate watermelon, grapes, and peanuts from my Grandfather’s garden.

As I got older developers started buying the land and knocking down the old houses and before I realized it they were gone and I didn’t even have pictures. I yearned to find small towns that still had their history and could bring back some memories from my childhood. When you see my images, I hope they remind you of a happy time growing up in a small country town.
